National Junior Honor Society The National Junior Honor Society is the leader among organizations and societies that promote appropriate for students who reflect outstanding accomplishments in the areas of scholarship, character, leadership and service. The purpose of the Winslow Township Middle School Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society is to create an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate the desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership, and citizenship, and to encourage the development of character in students of Winslow Township Middle School. Candidates eligible for selection to this chapter must be in the second semester or third marking period of seventh or eighth grade. Candidates shall have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0, and a positive discipline record. Applications, to eligible candidates, will be distributed after the second marking period. A faculty council will evaluate the candidates on the basis of scholarship, character, leadership, service, and citizenship.
