In TV Production, students are provided first-hand experience in multiple programs including Keynote, Final Cut Pro, iMovie, and the Google Suite of tools so that they can create small and large-scale projects including the daily announcements, public service announcements, news reports, and more. These projects require students to work in teams and be self-motivated, meaning that they can independently move through the steps of projects with encouragement and guidance as needed. By the time students leave the program, they have increased their know-how to use our camera, microphones, lighting, and editing software to bring their stories to life.
Instead of showing a video of our class in action, please see 1 of our finished products. The video linked here is completely student-created. They wrote the news script and news reports, held all interviews with student-written questions, filmed everything using our cameras and sound equipment, and created the closing credits using Keynote. This is the level of work the program expects so that we can send students to be strong, capable members of the award-winning HS program. |
